Orthodontics helps keep your mouth healthy and your smile beautiful by correcting various characteristics of malocclusion or dentofacial deformities (straightening the positioning of teeth). Straight, well-positioned teeth are easier to clean.

Traditionally, straightening of the teeth required metal wires and brackets (braces) to move teeth to their desired position. Invisalign is designed to be an invisible, more comfortable alternative to braces. Invisalign uses alignment trays made of smooth, comfortable BPA-free plastic. When worn, these trays subtly and softly move your teeth to the intended positoon.

Orthodontists will use x-rays, pictures, and impressions to create a precise 3D model of your teeth, and prepare the best option and treatment plan for you. The America Association of Orthodontists recommends that all children receive orthodontic screening by the age of 7. Please make an appointment if you or your child need orthodontic treatment.
